The Mets begin a new three-game series at home on Memorial Day, this one against the Chicago White Sox, starting at 4:10 p.m. on SNY.
Here's what to know about the game and how to watch...
Mets Notes
- Pete Alonso snapped a 16-game homer-less streak on Sunday night with a two-run blast in the first inning -- it was his 10th of the season which ties him with Francisco Lindor for the team lead
- The first baseman now has 236 home runs in his career -- all with the Mets -- and is just 17 dingers away from setting the franchise record
- Brett Baty went hitless against the Dodgers in the series finale which ended a string of three straight games with multiple hits
- The third baseman is still the team's hottest hitter as of late, slashing .333/.364/.714 with five home runs and 13 RBI over his last 15 games and was moved up to the sixth spot in the lineup in the series opener
- Getting more comfortable as a starting pitcher with each outing, Clay Holmes has pitched six innings in four consecutive starts. The reliever-turned-starter only did that once in his first six starts this season. Overall, the right-hander is 5-3 with a 3.13 ERA (1.24 WHIP)
- Brandon Nimmo is back in the lineup for the first time since leaving Friday night's game with neck stiffness -- he's playing left field and batting second
- The Mets are 9-9 this season against the American League
