Q: I live outside of SportsNet New York's regional viewing area, how can I receive the network?
A: SportsNet New York is available outside its regional broadcast territory through DIRECTV on channel 625 and through DISH Network on channel 438. DIRECTV customers who live outside SNY's region must subscribe to the DIRECTV SPORTS Pack, which is available a la carte throughout the United States to all DIRECTV customers. DISH Network customers, who subscribe to America's Top 60+, DishHD Silver or any higher package, now have access to SNY on channel 438.
However, to view New York Mets games outside the regional viewing area, customers must also subscribe to the MLB Extra Innings package available from your cable or satellite provider. This requirement is due to Major League Baseball rules that prohibit local team broadcast partners from infringing on other teams' territories.

Q: Why don't some of your cable and satellite providers offer SNY in HD?
A: It is up to each cable and satellite provider to allocate channel space for viewers to see SNY in HD. Currently, not all service providers have allocated this space, but we are encouraging them to do so because SNY has extensive HD programming including all Mets home games and select away games. In addition, SportsNite, a comprehensive re-cap of all New York sports is shot in HD from SNY's state-of-the-art street level studio in the heart of Manhattan every night at 6pm, 10pm and 1am. If your cable operator does not currently offer SNY in HD, we encourage you to call your service provider and request it.

Q: I live outside of SportsNet New York's regional viewing area and subscribe to MLB Extra Innings, why do I only get the Mets announcers sometimes?
A: MLB EXTRA INNINGS determines which broadcast to use, and they most often select the home team's broadcast. Please contact MLB Extra Innings for a more detailed explanation.
