Mets first baseman Pete Alonso enjoyed his fifth MLB All-Star Game, which included belting a three-run home run for the National League. Alonso was also prepared to participate in a Home Run Derby to decide the winner with the game tied after nine-innings. He complimented Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber for closing out the win and putting an end to the drama.

For pitcher Carlos Rodon, his personal highlight was seeing his son's excitement on the field during Monday's Home Run Derby. Manager Aaron Boone was thrilled to have Hall-of-Famer and former Yankees skipper Joe Torre be a part of the game., even making a pitching change. Boone added it was great to see the camaraderie amongst the players and see their excitement at the end-of-game HR Derby that broke a 6-6 tie.
