The Yankees drafted UCLA RHP James?Kaprielian?with the No. 16 pick in the first round of the MLB Amateur Draft on Monday.

Kaprielian said on Tuesday that he will be represented by Scott Boras, and that he hopes to begin his major league career soon (June 9, 6:55 p.m.)

The Yankees drafted LHP James Reeves from The Citadel with the No. 303 pick in the MLB Amateur draft.

Reeves, 22, was named the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Year this season after going 7-3 with a 3.44 ERA.

Earlier this season, on March 20, Reeves pitched a no-hitter.

The Mets have drafted RHP Witt Haggard of Delta State University with the No. 299 pick of the MLB Amateur Draft.

Haggard, listed at 6'2", 205 pounds, had a 3.24 ERA in 15 games (14 relief appearances, one start) for Delta State this season.

The 23-year-old Haggard had a 2.38 ERA in 22 2/3 innings pitched in 2014 for Delta State.

The Mets drafted center fielder Kevin Kaczmarski with the No. 269 pick in the MLB Draft.

Kaczmarski hit .465 this season, with a .543 OBP and 1.289 OPS. He hit five home runs, 19 doubles and drove in 57 RBI in 46 games for the University of Evansville.

The senior?is listed at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds. He bats lefty.

New York selected third baseman Donny Sands with the No. 243 pick of the MLB Draft.

Sands, out of Salpointe Catholic High School in Arizona, is the second high schooler taken by New York in the draft.

He hit .450 over 33 games with a .479 OBP this season.

The Mets selected catcher Patrick Mazeika with the No. 239 pick in the MLB Draft.

Mazeika, out of Stetson University, hit .307 with a .439 OBP over 58 games this season. He hit seven home runs, drove in 53 RBI and scored 43 times.

He is listed at 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds.

The Yankees selected rightfielder Jhalan Jackson with the No. 213 pick of the MLB Draft.

Jackson, out of Florida Southern College, is listed at 6-foot-4. He hit .417 this season with 20 home runs in 45 games this year.

He was one of the semifinalists for the Tino Martinez Award this season, given to the D-II player of the year.

The Mets drafted RHP Corey Taylor out of Texas Tech with the No. 209 pick.

Taylor is a 6-foot-1 reliever, who profiles as a groundball pitcher, according to MLB.com draft coverage.

This season, the senior has a 0.31 ERA in 57 1/3 innings. He's allowed 36 hits, two earned runs, walked 13 and struck out 32 this season. He's appeared in 19 games, starting one.

The Yankees have selected 2B Brandon Wagner from?Howard (Tex.) College with the No. 183 overall pick.

Wagner, a 20-year-old sophomore at Howard College, hit .314 with four home runs, 46 runs scored and 48 RBIs in 48 games played this season.

He is a local kid whose?hometown is Hopewell, N.J. Wagner is considered the best junior college position player in Texas in this years amateur draft.

Degano, 22, is the third college baseball player the Yankees picked on Monday.

Lindsay, 18, is a 6-foot, 200-pound outfielder, who was not ranked in MLB.com's top 200 prospect list.
