The Knicks have reshaped their roster over the last year and change, saying goodbye to some familiar faces (some beloved, some not) in the process. We'll take a look at how some of those former Knicks are performing with their new teams as the 2019-20 NBA season is underway...
Kristaps Porzingis, Dallas Mavericks
Porzingis saw his former team come to his new home grounds this past Thursday night in what turned out to be a thrilling matchup. Porzingis scored 28 points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked five shots, but fouled out late in the fourth quarter. Not having their big man out on the floor hurt the Mavs badly, as they fell to the Knicks 106-102 in what was a very close game throughout.
Porzingis missed Saturday's game against the Grizzlies, but the Mavericks were still able to pull out a win without him. Porzingis will make his long-awaited return to New York this Thursday to face the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. He's averaging 20.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game in his first season with Dallas.
