PHILADELPHIA -- Before a few college basketball coaching A-Listers Sunday morning, 2017 ESPN top rated point guard Trevon Duval led all scorers with 19 as his We-R1 team fought past Philly Pride 58-57 in the Elevate Hoops Summer Showdown.

Coach Jay Wright of national champion Villanova had his eyes fixated on the guard out of Delaware. Also in the crowd was Indiana coach Tom Crean, Temple's Fran Dunphy, North Carolina State's Mark Gottfried, and UCLA assistant David Grace.

With all eyes on him, Duval did what he always tries to do, play his game. "When I'm playing I try and treat it like a normal game, no matter how big the crowd is or who's watching," Duval said. "I just try to play my game."

TINTON FALLS, N.J. -- Team Rio was a few minutes into their showcase game against South Jersey Blitz last Sunday when Bryan Antoine, 6-foot-3 guard in the Class of 2019, poked the ball loose and ran a one-man fast break that resulted in a one-handed dunk. The packed gym at Ranney School yelled out in support.

On the other end of the court was Antoine's backcourt-mate and best friend, 6-foot-4 Scottie Lewis, clapping his hands.

When it comes to Antoine, Lewis is always in his corner, and vice versa.

DENVER -- After winning the Big East Tournament championship at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night, Isaiah Whitehead got a text from an old friend and teammate.

Kamari Murphy, a redshirt junior forward for Miami and Whitehead's former Lincoln High school teammate, was texting to offer congratulations.

"I mean Kamari's always been a brother to me basically since I was a freshman in high school when we played on the same team," the 6-foot-4 Whitehead said in Denver where Seton Hall will play Gonzaga in a first-round Midwest Region game on Thursday. "But I've been following him a lot, he's been having a tremendous season so far. I mean, he just hit me up after the Big East Tournament and told me to keep ballin', just keep playing my game. Just stay confident and all the good things will happen."
