GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- After tearing his ACL last year at the Adidas Nations, Dennis Smith Jr. is back. Returning to the place where he first got injured a year ago Tuesday, Smith has been stellar, playing in the College division with Team Wizards.

"I thank God that I'm out here playing again," said the 6-foot-3 N.C. State point guard. "This is where I got injured last year and I'm just thankful to be back on the court."

With the season quickly arriving, Smith feels prepared to go out and have a great year.

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Mohamed Bamba plans to visit UConn next Thursday, but won't be able to make it out to UCLA this month.

"I was going to visit UCLA, sometime in August, but the trip here was cut short because something came up back home." the 7-footer from the Westtown (Pa.) School and the PSA Cardinals said here at Adidas Nationas. "I plan on visiting UConn next Thursday, so it should be fun."

Bamba is yet to take any official visits, but has taken unofficial visits to Maryland and St. John's.

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- As former Arizona commit Terrance Ferguson touched down in Australia to play with the Adelaide 36ers, incoming freshmen Rawle Alkins and Kobi Simmons are excited to share the Arizona backcourt together.

Playing in the Adidas Nations here, Alkins and Simmons have fared well together with Team Magic and are beginning to develop some chemistry.

"It's building." said the 6-foot-6 Simmons. "Every time we play with each other, every time we step on the court, the chemistry builds, so that's a big upside to this upcoming season. We have something to prove."

The Blue Devils will likely be the preseason No. 1 team in most polls, and betting site Bovada has them at 9/2 odds to win the NCAA championship in Phoenix next April.

The 6-foot-10 Jeter isn't backing down from those expectations, either.

Arizona: "They have a great coaching staff, is really close to home and since one of my friends, Ray Smith goes there, I visited there."

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. -- Wendell Carter Jr. and Gary Trent Jr. reiterated that they still plan to attend college together.

"A package deal is still the plan," Carter Jr. told SNY.tv Friday at the Adidas Nations event here, reiterating comments Trent Jr. made earlier this month at Peach Jam.

The 6-foot-6 Trent, who hopes to cut his list after Adidas Nations, also has the package deal on his mind, saying, "The package deal is most definitely on. He was actually my roommate at the Nike Academy and he's my roommate before we go, so we have continue to bond and grow as people."

Jaylen Nowell, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Garfield (WA) High School, announced his commitment to the University of Washington on Wednesday over schools such as Oregon, Arizona, California, Oregon State, Portland State, Texas, among others.

"THIS MY TOWN!! I I have to put on for my city." exclaimed Nowell, the first commit for Lorenzo Romar and the Huskies in the 2017 class.

Playing with Seattle Rotary, Nowell is averaging 20.2 points per game, along with 3.9 rebounds per game. Coming from Seattle, staying home played a large role in Nowell's commitmen.

Victor Uyaelunmo, the 6-foot-11 Class of 2017 center from Gulliver (FL) Prep and the Florida Vipers, will trim his list of schools by the end of the summer, he told SNY.tv.

Ranked the No. 109 player from the Class of 2017 according to 247Sports.com, holds around 15 offers, including Memphis, Illinois, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Tennessee, and USC.

Uyaelunmo visited Tennessee Thursday and USC on Monday. He is set to visit Pittsburgh June 28.

GARDEN GROVE, Ca. - Miles Norris, a five-star Class of 2018 power forward from Mater Dei (C) Catholic High School, says that four schools are recruiting him the hardest.

The 6-foot-9 forward, playing with Earl Watson Elite 16U, listed Arizona, Oregon, San Diego State, and Cal as the schools that are in contact with him the most.

Norris holds offers from 12 schools and has taken an unofficial visit to Arizona. Although he did not mention any frontrunners, he plans to visit Arizona and Oregon at the end of the summer.

Ranked the No. 6 player in the Class of 2017 according to 247Sports.com, holds more than 30 offers, including from Kentucky, Kansas, Villanova, Duke, North Carolina, Syracuse, N.C. State, Maryland, Miami and Cal.

Knox isn't certain how many he will cut to or which schools will definitely make the list.

The 6-foot-8 power forward, playing with the Sports U 16U squad, lists Kentucky, Syracuse, St. John's, and North Carolina as the schools that are leading the way in his recruitment.

Reid holds offers from the likes of UConn, Iowa, Kansas, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, North Carolina State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John's, Syracuse, Villanova, Virginia and Wichita State, among others. Kentucky and UNC have yet to offer.

The 6-foot-3 guard, playing with Sports U, lists Temple, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Seton Hall, SMU and UConn as the schools that are in contact with him most.

Pierre-Louis holds offers from nearly 30 schools and has taken unofficial visits to UConn and Rutgers. Back in February, he received a visit from Kansas assistant Norm Roberts.
