After months of buildup, waiting and speculation, Marques Bolden finally announced for Duke and not Kentucky on Thursday at DeSoto (TX) High School.

The 6-foot-10, 250-pound big man is ranked the No. 1 center in the Class of 2016 and joins a loaded recruiting class that already includes Harry Giles, Jayson Tatum, Javin DeLaurier, Frank Jackson and Jack White. Duke's class is now ranked No. 1 by Scout.com ahead of No. 2 Kentucky and No. 3 Arizona.

Marques Bolden is finally set to announce his college choice on Thursday at 2:30 ET, one day after the NCAA late signing period ends on Wednesday.

Bolden is expected to choose between Duke and Kentucky, with multiple sources saying they don't know which school he will pick.

Marques Bolden has yet to announce his college choice, much to the chagrin of many Kentucky and Duke fans.

But incoming Kentucky point guard De'Aaron Fox made one last pitch for Bolden to join Big Blue Nation via USA Today (and a transcription from Kentucky Sports Radio).

NEW YORK -- Marques Bolden will appear on ESPNU in the 5:30 p.m. hour on Wednesday -- as will Duke commits Jayson Tatum and Harry Giles -- but says he doesn't plan on making a college announcement then.

PORTLAND, Ore. --- Five-star uncommitted center Marques Bolden has been a popular target for media and teammates all week while at the Nike Hoop Summit. While reporters try to get a glimpse into Bolden's thought process, there are three Duke commits (Harry Giles, Jayson Tatum, and Frank Jackson) and two Kentucky commits (De'Aaron Fox and Wenyen Gabriel) who want to add Bolden to their recruiting class.

"It would probably have to be Harry," said Bolden when discussing which teammate had been the most active recruiter. "With all of the time we have spent off the court, it's been a lot more than I expected, so I would have to go with him."

The 6-foot-10 big man from DeSoto (TX) is down to Duke and Kentucky, and will have an in-home visit with the Duke staff on Sunday, a source confirmed to SNY.tv.

CHICAGO -- At this point, uncommitted big man Marques Bolden is no stranger to national attention. At Tuesday's McDonald's All-American media day at the United Center, the elite prospect was mobbed by reporters and players alike.

Bolden says he still needs time to make a final decision, but it's clear that whichever program he chooses will be getting a huge boost. The Class of 2016's top big man won't disclose anything this week, but the senior says he still plans on announcing before his birthday, April 17. Though his list hasn't officially been cut down, Bolden named Kentucky, Duke and TCU as his top choices.

Bolden brushed off any talk of stress when asked about the media and player attention.
