"The Walking Bucket" is headed to the West Coast.

Knicks F Michael Beasley has agreed to a one-year deal with the Lakers for next season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Beasley played a bench role with the Knicks last season until Kristaps Porzingis went down with a torn ACL. He, then, took over as one of the main scorers on the team.

With the Knicks signing F Mario Hezonja on Sunday, it seems the return of F Michael Beasley isn't in play any longer.

For one, Hezonja's $6.5 million came out of the Knicks' $8.6 million mid-level exception. To get Beasley back, it was expected the Knicks would have to cough up the entire mid-level exception.

Instead, they get Hezonja -- a forward that has the ability to play both the 3 and 4 on the floor. But can Hezonja's versatilty make him a viable replacment to Beasley, who was a critical piece of the Knicks a season ago?

Who is Mario Hezonja? 00:00:33
SNY takes a look at the newest Knick, forward Mario Hezonja, who signed a one-year deal with the team on Sunday.

The Knicks' newest addition in SF Mario Hezonja could have gone to a contender like the Trail Blazers for next season. Instead, he chose the team he used to root for as a kid.

But was fulfilling a childhood dream the only motive for the 23-year-old to join New York's youth movement? Hezonja may have hinted to the main reason why he chose the Knicks in his deal-confirming tweet, as he made sure to mention the opportunity to play for new head coach David Fizdale.

Hezonja reportedly turned down multi-year contracts with other ballclubs to sign his one-year deal with the Knicks, per The Athletic's Michael Scotto. Playing for Fizdale is the rumored selling point to landing the Croatian forward.

Knicks F Michael Beasley, who is an unrestricted free agent, has been generating interest from a few teams around the league, per The Post's Marc Berman.

Beasley may have been with the Knicks' new head coach David Fizdale at their Tarrytown complex last week, but it isn't certain that the 6-foot-9 forward will be coached by him next season. Fizdale is high on Beasley, a player that he coached with the Heat from 2008-10 and 2013-15.

Other teams around the league are high on Beasley as well. The Hawks and Suns, who both have enough cap room to sign him, are reportedly interested in the versatile forward. For the Hawks specifically, Beasley owns an Atlanta home and could be interested in making it permanent next year.

Knicks F Michael Beasley is questionable to return to Friday's contest against the Heat after suffering a left knee contusion in the first quarter.

Beasley missed Tuesday's game against the Magic with an illness, and just returned to action on Friday.

The 6-foot-9 forward has picked up the slack for the injured Kristaps Porzingis, as he is averaging 13.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists over 70 games this season.

With Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. out, Knicks F Michael Beasley has been thriving as he fills in for the team's top scorers.

Beasley, who refers to himself as a "walking bucket," lived up to that moniker against the Thunder on Saturday as he poured in a team-high 30 points to spoil Carmelo Anthony's return to Madison Square Garden. It was the second time he scored 30 points this season.

This was the type of production Beasley said he was capable in bringing to the Knicks, and he has been displaying it when the team is in desperate need of a playmaker.
