NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- Mohamed Bamba and Quade Green wore long looks of dejection on their faces as they trudged to their airplane on Sunday evening for their flight home from the Peach Jam.

The PSA Cardinals duo had just taken a 93-65 beating at the hands of Michael Porter Jr. and MoKan Elite in the Peach Jam championship game televised on ESPNU. It was the last time Bamba and Green will play for the New York-based AAU team.

But there wasn't much time to mope, either.

Mohamed Bamba is a big man with a big summer ahead.

Beginning Wednesday, the 7-footer from Harlem will be watched by dozens of coaches when he and the PSA Cardinals begin play at the Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C.. With a 14-2 record and a slew of uncommitted Class of 2017 standouts, the PSA Cardinals figure to be one of the hottest draws at the finale of the Nike EYBL circuit.

"My whole approach to Peach Jam is to take one game and as you go on, just win and dominate," Bamba told SNY.tv. "This is probably my third or fourth time going to Peach Jam. Every time I've gone it's gotten better. The first time we didn't make it out of pool play, the second time we made it out of pool play, the third time we made it to the quarterfinals, semifinals. And this time I want to win it all."

For years now, Perry Ellis has been hearing the jokes that he's been at Kansas long enough to have played with Wilt Chamberlain or Danny Manning.

I've made a couple Wilt jokes myself on Twitter, and Ellis showed his sense of humor by rolling with the punches.

"Since I supposedly have unlimited eligibility why don't I just come back next year?" Ellis joked on Senior Day after his final home game at Allen Fieldhouse, an 85-78 victory over Iowa State in which Ellis went for 22 points and 7 rebounds.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- With Kentucky coach John Calipari, North Carolina coach Roy Williams and Texas coach Shaka Smart among those on hand, Mohamed Bamba put on a Hassan Whiteside-like show on Sunday at the Hoophall Classic.

The 7-foot junior from Harlem went for a triple-double of 13 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks as Westtown (Pa.) dominated Udoka Azubuike and Potters House Christian (FL), 53-35, by outscoring the Florida school 35-7 in the second half.

Bamba said he was especially motivated to go against Azubuike, who postponed his scheduled college announcement from Sunday. The 6-11 Azubuike is considering North Carolina, Kansas and Florida State. Kansas assistant Jerrance Howard was also on hand. Through his coach, Azubuike (6 points, 9 rebounds) declined to speak with reporters following the game.
