Former Ohio State center Daniel Giddens will be transferring to Alabama. The move was announced on Twitter Sunday.

"Daniel is a big strong high-energy frontcourt player," said Steve Smith, Giddens' high school coach at Oak Hill (Va.). "He's a great rebounder who can guard 4 and 5 men. He scores inside with either hand and can step out to 15 feet."

Lindell Wigginton is one of the top point guards in the Class of 2017. The 6-foot-2 Wigginton will be contributing periodically to ZAGSBLOG going forward. Here is his second Player Blog.

What's good, everybody? It's your boy LW back doing my second player blog with ZAGSBLOG.

Coming off a 17-day break before the Dick's National Tournament we started off a bit sluggish in the first half of our first game against Wasatch Academy (UT). We picked it up in the second half by stepping up our defense as a team and sprinted to a win. The second game we played a tough Miller Grove team that played hard. We had to grind it out and ended up winning by 1 off of Braxton Key's blocked shot. Going into the championship game against La Lumiere (IN), we were up 18 and then came out in the second half thinking we had already won the championship. We were wrong, they came back on us, and we went into overtime and won at the last second tip-in. I made the all-tournament team averaging 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists per game in the tournament. We all were glad to get Coach Steve Smith his first Dick's tournament win.

NEW YORK --- Jubilation.

That's the only word No. 2 Oak Hill Academy (VA) coach Steve Smith could think of when asked to describe Saturday's 62-60 overtime victory against No. 5 La Lumiere (IN) in the Dick's Sporting Goods High School Nationals final at Madison Square Garden.

After its 18-point third quarter lead slowly evaporated at the hands of 2017 star forward Brian Bowen and the Lakers, Oak Hill rallied after trailing by three with 40 seconds left to win on a Khadim Sy tip-in at the buzzer, sending the Warriors bench streaming onto the court to pile on senior center.

What's up, everybody? It's your boy LW about to do the first entry of my Player Blog with ZAGSBLOG.

This is my second year at Oak Hill and the season is going great. Right now our record is 33-1. We took a tough loss in our 4th game of the season but bounced back strong, winning 29 games straight. The special thing about this team is that we all buy into playing defense and playing as a team. My coaches pushed us real hard in the preseason which is leading to our team's success. It's never fun waking up at 5:30 in the morning to go run the mile on "the hill," which is not our normal mile lol.
