Syracuse and Kentucky have been the most aggressive in their recruitment of Neumann-Goretti (PA) and PSA Cardinals point guard Quade Green, as evidenced by their meetings this week with the Class of 2017 point guard.

Syracuse's Jim Boeheim and Gerry McNamara met with the 6-foot Green on Monday at Goretti, where also produced former Orange standouts Scoop Jardine and Rick Jackson.

"They love him," Goretti coach Carl Arrigale said of Syracuse. "They have been on him for two years. They were on him before he blew up. So it's kind of always a review of sorts when they are together."

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- Mohamed Bamba and Quade Green wore long looks of dejection on their faces as they trudged to their airplane on Sunday evening for their flight home from the Peach Jam.

The PSA Cardinals duo had just taken a 93-65 beating at the hands of Michael Porter Jr. and MoKan Elite in the Peach Jam championship game televised on ESPNU. It was the last time Bamba and Green will play for the New York-based AAU team.

But there wasn't much time to mope, either.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- Quade Green and the PSA Cardinals found themselves down by as many as 20 points in the first half of their Peach Jam semifinal Saturday night against Team Penny.

It didn't look good when the New York team trudged into halftime down by 18 points.

In fact, it looked over.

When he steps on the floor with the PSA Cardinals on Wednesday at Peach Jam, Quade Green will be one of the most sought after players in the Class of 2017.

The 6-foot point guard from Philadelphia (PA) Neumann-Goretti recently visited both Duke and Kentucky, picking up offers from both school along the way.

"[Kentucky] went well, I liked it," Green told SNY.tv on Tuesday. "[Coach John Calipari] wanted me to come in and play, he's going to have eight people leaving. He wanted me to come in and play."

Quade Green, the 6-foot point guard from Philadelphia (PA) Neumann-Goretti and the PSA Cardinals AAU program, picked up an offer from Kentucky during his visit, Goretti coach Carl Arrigale told SNY.tv.

"Quade's ability to run a team and get them to the winner's circle is unmatched for an Individual who plays his position," PSA Cardinals director Terrance "Munch" Williams told SNY.tv "With him receiving an offer from Kentucky, it is only more proof that he has put himself in the conversation for best point guard in the country. The next step is for college programs to believe he is worthy of having the ball in his hands from Day 1."

He added: "Kentucky has a longstanding legacy that is beyond mentioning, and to have any one of our students officially invited to join that tradition is almost beyond expression. Quade has had such a transformative spring and for him to be recognized and valued by such a storied institution as one of the best nationally truly cannot be put into words."

Quade Green, the 6-foot point guard from Philadelphia (PA) Neumann-Goretti and the PSA Cardinals AAU program, will visit Kentucky unofficially on Wednesday-Thursday and could pick up an offer on the trip.

"He'll be there Wednesday and Thursday," Goretti coach Carl Arrigale said Monday on The 4 Quarters Podcast.. "I just talked to coach [Tony] Barbee [Monday] and I'm supposed to talk to Cal. It seems to be moving in that direction [of an offer]. Nothing's official yet. Once they get him in the office and find out what his thinking is and what he's thinking about.

"I know they do feel like their backcourt this year [Isaiah Briscoe, Malik Monk and De'Aaron Fox] is going to be talented enough to all be gone possibly next year so they're looking for players to come in and play. They see him as a Tyler Ulis maybe with a couple more inches, which is probably a pretty good comparison. He's got the guts of burglar. He plays really hard, he's not afraid of any moment and he watched the Kentucky teams with Tyler out there. They see him as being a guy who can play that similar role for them the next few years."
