Immanuel Quickley is taking things "day-by-day" as he recovers from a hip pointer he suffered against the Pacers in his rookie debut Wednesday.
"I'm feeling ok, just day-to-day right now," Quickley said Thursday. "I got a hip pointer. Just tried to veer down on Myles Turner and he ended up hip checking me. It felt ok kind of at first and then I tried to run and it just didn't feel right. So I'm taking it day-by-day."
Quickley said that he doesn't know "right now" if he'll be able to play in the MSG home opener this weekend. He woke up "stiff" and has a bruise on his side.
