The Knicks have filled out their roster ahead of Wednesday’s season opener against Boston.
According to SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley, the Knicks are signing guard Duane Washington Jr. to a two-way contract. The move means New York now has 15 standard contracts and three two-way contracts.
A 6-foot-3, 197-pound guard, Washington was signed by the Knicks on July 30, but was waived on Saturday afternoon.
An Ohio State product, Washington started his career with Indiana in 2021-22 before playing 31 games (three starts) with the Phoenix Suns last season. For his career, Washington has averaged 9.1 points per game with 1.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
