The Utah Jazz have traded Knicks target Donovan Mitchell to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Cleveland is sending Collin Sexton, Lauri Markkanen, Ochai Agbaji, three first-round picks, and two pick swaps to the Jazz for Mitchell, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic.
In some previous talks with Utah, New York had been unwilling to give up three unprotected first-round picks.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski also reports that Utah will take Cleveland's 2025, 2027 and 2029 first-round picks, and the pick swaps are for the 2026 and 2028 drafts.
Sexton reportedly agreed to a sign-and-trade in order to join the Jazz. Sexton's deal is for four years worth $72 million guaranteed, per the Athletic..
SNY's Ian Begley reports that in talks with the Knicks, the Jazz had sought RJ Barrett, whom the Knicks extended earlier this week, complicating talks and opening a window for Cleveland -- who had pulled out of talks last week -- to pull off the trade.
