Nets head coach Steve Nash told reporters before Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers that he has not spoken with Kyrie Irving about getting vaccinated ahead of his part-time return for Brooklyn's road matchups.

"No, not since we had those conversations in the preseason," Nash said. "And since then, we have not."

Irving, who met with the media Wednesday as he made his comeback to Nets practice, is in the midst of a ramp up after clearing health and safety protocols.

"Yeah, I mean, I may be a little naive, but I think it's just keep it really simple," Nash said. "Kyrie plays on the road and we figure out how he rejoins the group, finds his rhythm and his place on the team. And when we come home, we're back to normal -- the way we've been all year.

"So I'll just try to keep it really simple. Don't over-analyze it or complicate it. Try to enjoy it and try to put him in a position to succeed and enjoy what he's doing and then the positives of having him back can be high and it can also hopefully have an affect on us when he's not in the lineup and guys are not having as much of a burden in every single game."

Nash previously said that Irving would need a week or two before rejoining the Nets on the floor, and Brooklyn's next road trip is a one-game swing on Jan. 5 at the Indiana Pacers.
