After LaMarcus Aldridge was cleared to play basketball, he and the Nets agreed to a new contract, the team announced on Friday night.

While the Nets did not disclose the terms of the deal, Aldridge's agent told ESPN that deal is worth $2.6 million for one year.

Aldridge signed with the Nets back on March 27 after he was bought out by the San Antonio Spurs, but was forced to retire less than a month later due to an irregular heartbeat.

In his five games with Brooklyn, he averaged 12.8 points and 4.8 boards.

Aldridge is a seven-time All-Star, having been named to the All-NBA Second Team twice, and the Third Team three times in his 15-year career.
