Eight of 10 Islanders restricted free agents received qualifying offers from the team on Monday, and now the ball is in their court to see if deals can get done.

Sebastian Aho was set to be an RFA until he signed a two-year deal with the Isles with the financials not yet announced. So he's locked up.

Here are the eight players that saw qualifying offers come their way (financials via Fansided's Michael Anderson):

- Ryan Pulock: $2.65 million
- Mathew Barzal: $874,125
- Devon Toews: $787,000
- Josh Ho-Sang: $917,831
- Grant Hutton: $874,125
- Parker Wotherspoon: $761,250
- Mitch Vande Sompel: $735,000
- Kyle Burroughs: $735,000

The most notable here are Barzal, Pulock and Toews, who are core players for this franchise. Pulock and Toews are both arbitration-eligible players as well.

The numbers above only matter if the players sign at the qualifying offer. The Islanders will have until 12 p.m. on Oct. 9 to sign deals with these players before they are allowed to sign another offer sheet with another team.

With the salary cap being affected by the coronavirus pandemic this offseason, we'll see what Lou Lamoriello has in store for these players and the rest of the club's offseason strategy. Hammering out extensions prior to the deadline for Barzal, Pulock and Toews specifically seems like a priority so that Lamoriello can really know what he's working with cap-wise.
