The Mets have agreed to a minor league deal with RHP Andre Scrubb, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo.

Scrubb, 28, pitched for the Houston Astros in 2020 and 2021, going 2-1 with a 3.32 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 43.1 innings in 38 games. He struck out 45 batters and walked 34, holding opposing players to a .201 batting average.

The right-hander missed most of the 2022 season due to injury and then played in both the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and Mexican League during the 2023 season.

Across three teams last year, Scrubb owned a 3.62 ERA with 37 strikeouts over 37.1 innings in 37 games. He also played for Great Britain in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.

Scrubb was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the eighth round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of High Point University, and was later traded to the Astros in 2019.
