Nets superstar James Harden unexpectedly left Game 1 of the team's Second Round series against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first quarter with a hamstring injury.

He was ruled out for the remainder of the game after playing just one minute and recording one rebound.

Nets head coach Steve Nash called timeout at the 11:17 mark of the first quarter to remove Harden from the game, as he headed to the locker room.

Harden missed 20 games during the regular season with a strained right hamstring. He's averaged 24.6 points, 10.9 assists, and 8.5 rebounds per game over 36 regular season games with Brooklyn this season.

The TNT broadcast reported that Harden left Barclays Center to get an MRI on his hamstring.

After the game, Nash said he's "heartbroken" for Harden and is unsure of his status for Game 2.

"This guy was so ready and excited to play tonight," Nash said. "...You never want to see that when someone gives everything they have."

Kevin Durant said he plans to call Harden after he leaves the Barclays Center, and knows how upsetting his is for his teammate.

"It sucks because I want him to be out there. I know how much he wants to be in this moment... it’s just a bad break."
