Jeff Green has a strained plantar fascia, Steve Nash told reporters on Thursday, and will be out for at least the rest of the Nets' first round series against the Celtics.

Green will be re-evaluated in 10 days, according to Nash.

Green averaged 11 points per game for Brooklyn this year, knocking 49.2 percent of his shots, and 41.2 percent from three.

The 34-year-old averaged 27 minutes per contest with the Nets, and played in over 26 minutes in the Nets' Game 1 victory over Boston, where he spent four seasons.

Green started in 38 of 68 games played for the Nets.
