Nets' Kevin Durant probable to return from thigh injury Sunday against Suns

Kevin Durant is officially listed as probable to make his return to the lineup on Sunday when the Nets face the Phoenix Suns.

The 11-time All-Star has been sidelined since last Sunday when he suffered a left thigh contusion after colliding with Miami’s Trevor Ariza on a first-quarter layup attempt.

After a lengthy rehab from his Achilles surgery, Durant made his long awaited Nets debut this season, and though he’s battled injuries since coming back, he’s been terrific when able to play.

In 24 games with the Nets this season, Durant has averaged 27.3 points per game to go along with 6.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists. The four-time scoring champ is also shooting a career-best 46.2 percent from three-point range this season.

The Nets are still without James Harden, who remains listed as out with a right hamstring strain, but pairing Durant with Kyrie Irving should be a nice boost for Brooklyn, who currently sits in first place in the East by a half game over the Sixers.
