Before being able to return to the team after getting suspended for sharing a link to a movie with antisemitic rhetoric on social media, the Nets have given Kyrie Irving six stipulations he must complete.
First reported by The Athletic's Shams Charania, the six items include:
- Apologize/condemn movie
- $500K donation to anti-hate causes
- Sensitivity training
- Antisemitic training
- Meet with ADL, Jewish leaders
According to SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley, Irving issued an apology via social media but must also do so verbally. Irving pledged $500,000 to the Anti-Defamation League earlier this week but as of Friday night, the ADL will not accept Irving's money unless they believe his commitment is genuine.
The Nets suspended Irving for at least five games without pay on Thursday.
