Nicolas Claxton, the Nets' second-round pick from the 2019 NBA Draft, will be out "weeks" with a knee tendinopathy, head coach Steve Nash said Monday.
Claxton played 15 games with Brooklyn last season, averaging 4.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game while averaging 12.5 minutes per contest.
Claxton spent some time with the G-League Long Island Nets, where he started five of his nine games. With Long Island, he dropped 16.7 points per game while averaging 7.4 boards.
Nash also announced that Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot has a hip pointer and could not participate in all of practice on Monday.
