Here are five things to know from Saturday's game...

1) All of the attention was on James Harden in his Brooklyn debut. But Harden, one of the league’s top scorers, came out distributing early, hitting Joe Harris for an early three and facilitating the offense as the starting point guard. With a lot of attention on Harden, Kevin Durant came out of the gates quickly, finishing the first quarter with nine points. Harris also had nine in the frame, as the Nets took a 29-26 lead into the second. Harden scored two points in the quarter on last-second free throws.

2) Harden looked even more comfortable in the second. After Euro-stepping his way in for his first Nets' field goal, Harden also kept making plays for his teammates, leading fast breaks and making behind-the-back passes for wide open looks. As the first half came to a close, the Nets led 52-50 behind Harden's eight points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Durant had 16 points, while Harris added 14 in the half.

3) Durant continued to absolutely dominate in the third quarter, setting a Nets franchise record in the process with his ninth consecutive game with 25-plus points. KD finished the quarter with 28 points, while Harden entered the fourth with 19 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds. The Nets led by one after three.

4) In the fourth, the duo or Harden and Durant continued to lead the charge. Durant ended up with his first 40-point game as a Net, finishing with 42 points to go along with five assists and four rebounds. And Harden? He finished with a triple-double in his Nets debut, finishing with a line of 32 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds. All in all, it was a tremendous first game for the reunited duo.

5) The Magic kept the game close throughout, but ultimately they were just no match for the Nets' fire power. Outside of Harden and Durant, Harris finished with 17 points, while Jeff Green had 10 points. Bruce Brown chipped in seven off the bench.
