Five things to know from Tuesday's game

1) Brooklyn opened the season with a hot first quarter, outscoring Golden State, 40-25. Kyrie Irving scored 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting with three triples and Kevin Durant added in 10 points, while the team shot 58 percent from the field (14-of-24, 7-of-12 from three).

2) Irving ended the half with 24 points and Durant and Caris LeVert both scored 12 points in the half as the Nets took a 63-45 lead. The Warriors continued to struggle shooting the ball, going 17-of-53 (26.1 percent) from the field. 

The Nets had just three halftime leads of 18-plus points all of last season.

3)  The lead grew to 28 points through three quarters, as Brooklyn went up 99-71. The Nets kept up their hot shooting, going 10-of-20 from the field in the third. 

4) Durant finished the game with 22 points and five rebounds in 25 minutes, and Irving ended with a game-high 26 points, four assists, and four rebounds in 25 minutes as well.

LeVert scored 20 points on 6-of-17 shooting, nine rebounds, and five assists in 25 minutes off the bench, establishing his role for the season as the team's sixth man. 

5) Jarrett Allen wound up with eight points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes on the court, while Spencer Dinwiddie had just nine points, five rebounds, and four assists in 20 minutes of action.

Warriors superstar Stephen Curry finished the game with 20 points on 7-of-21 shooting, while rookie James Wiseman had 19 points and six rebounds.
