The new alternate uniforms replace the all grey jerseys with "BKLYN" on the front in a graffiti-like font.
The Nets will rock the black-on-black uniforms for seven home games during the 2022-23 season, as they'll debut them on Oct. 21 against the Toronto Raptors. Other notable games that they'll wear the Statement Edition uniforms include on Halloween against the Indiana Pacers and on Dec. 23 against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, according to BSE Global, the parent company of Barclays Center and Nets.
Fans online were torn about whether they're into the new uniforms or would have preferred something different from just an all-black jersey.
But luckily, the Statement Edition uniforms won't be the only new threads that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving will wear this season, as the Nets also released their throwback "Stars and Stripes" uniforms for the upcoming season on Aug. 26 that are inspired by the Julius Erving-era Nets teams from the 1970s.
