New Nets head coach Steve Nash is receiving a blessing most first time coaches don't get in the NBA: having two superstars like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on his roster.

Speaking on "The Old Man and the Three" podcast with JJ Redick and Tommy Alter, Nash touched on how he plans to utilize such a special player in Durant.

“Kevin, with his length, is a matchup problem for everyone,” Nash said. "Kevin can play all five positions, and I plan to use him in all five positions."

Nash spent the last four years as a consultant for the Golden State Warriors, two of which Durant was a part of. Together, the Warriors won back-to-back NBA titles in 2017 and 2018.

Already having a strong foundation with one star, Nash hopes to build upon the one he has with his other star over the next few months and into the season.

“(Me and Kyrie) have had a relationship since his rookie year. It’s something I’m looking to develop. Obviously, I have a much more developed and longer history with Kevin, but with Ky, I’m excited," Nash said.

“Ky is a weapon off the ball. ... He’s one of my favorite players. He’s kind of a savant with the basketball. But also (want to) get to know him off the court.”
