Spencer Dinwiddie, one of the final remaining players from the pre-Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant Brooklyn Nets, is headed to Washington.

The Wizards and Nets finalized a sign-and-trade agreement on Wednesday as part of a massive five-team deal, which sends the guard to D.C. on a three-year, $62 million deal, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley confirms. The Spurs, Lakers and Pacers are also involved in the trade, which was first reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

In the deal, the Nets will receive a 2024 second-rounder and a 2025 pick swap, Begley confirms.

According to Begley,  teams interested in trading for Bradley Beal had been monitoring his situation in Washington for months. Two of those teams believe that the trade - if successful - will lead him to remain in Washington DC. So this is a trade that could have long-term implications around the league.

In his first four seasons in Brooklyn, Dinwiddie's scoring average climbed from 7.3 to 12.6 to 16.8 to 20.6 PPG in 2019-20. He was the second-longest tenured Net behind only Joe Harris.
