Nat Berhe didn't play in a game in his second season with the New York Giants and learned a lot about life in the NFL.

It can be taken away very quickly.

The safety missed all of last season with a calf injury that turned out to be a little more than a pulled muscle. He developed a blood clot in the leg and had to have it removed.

The Giants have tendered contracts to all six of their exclusive rights free agents, reports Tom Pelissero of USA Today (Mar. 4).

The exclusive rights free agents are RB Orleans Darkwa, TE Jerome Cunningham, S Bennett Jackson, TE Will Tye, WR Myles White, and P Brad Wing.

The Giants' open safety competition continues to evolve as the summer rolls on. It looks like rookie Landon Collins is in the lead for one of the positions (possibly SS) while the other slot remains a derby consisting of Nat Berhe, Cooper Taylor, Jeromy Miles, Mykkele Thompson and Bennett Jackson, who is making the transition from cornerback.
