best month

Plenty of things went wrong in the Nets 120-95 loss Friday night to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but putting that tough loss aside, the Nets still turned in an impressive month of January.

After only winning five games in each of the first two months, Brooklyn doubled that output with a 10-3 campaign to open 2014.?That mark is the best January winning percentage in the team?s NBA history of 38 years.?And for what it?s worth in their blowout loss Friday, the Nets can say they are the team that stopped Kevin Durant?s 12-game streak of scoring 30-plus points per game.

Frankly though, they?re likely more proud of the good month than stopping the streak.?Luckily, the team has the chance to instantly get back on track, but it will be a tough test Saturday night in Indiana against the Eastern Conference?s top-seeded team, the Pacers.
