The Yankees' start to the second half hasn't been so smooth. But then again neither was their last few games into the All-Star break.
Though there are various reasons why this is the case, one of them is the absence of rookie Gleyber Torres. The second baseman has been sidelined with a right hip issue since July 5, and in turn, the Yankees have gone 7-7 over that span.
But, rest assured, Torres could be back in the Yankees' lineup on Wednesday as he approaches the final step in his rehab process. The 21-year-old will DH for the Class-A Tampa Tarpons on Tuesday, with the Yankees wanting to make sure that hip doesn't bother him in back-to-back games.
