Accountability is the corner stone to any job and to any career. For the 2013 New York Giants there does not seem to be any accountability on any level, so when Antrel Rolle stands up and describes his offense as having no pulse and some players played with no heart?he should be applauded.

He is describing a frustrating, underperforming season, not one game, nor one player and it is becoming very clear that there is a problem in Giant land.

It?s actually true: The Giants have three tight ends on their roster, and even four if you include Bear Pascoe (though we?ll consider him mostly a fullback).

Sometimes we forget though that the Giants have these tight ends, because rarely do we see the position utilized in the offensive pass game.

We were spoiled the past few seasons with the production from former tight ends Jeremy Shockey, Kevin Boss, Jake Ballard and Martellus Bennett.

Finally, the Giants played a relevant fourth quarter. But even though it was a close game right down the wire, the outcome remained the same for the Giants as they fall to an unthinkable 0-6 with a 27-21 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Sure, Eli Manning?s two interceptions early were brutal, ugly and right on par with how he has been playing all season. He was picked off on two of his first five passes.

But Manning rebounded nicely to put the Giants in a position to orchestrate a game-winning drive.

On Sunday, Eli Manning ended practice by connecting with his new TE, Brandon Myers.for 69-yard touchdown sending everyone to the showers after just one play. Tom Coughlin wasn't exactly pleased with the result, he wanted a more comprehensive effort from both sides.

Instead, he called everyone in. It was what it was. His TE got free and his QB hit him in stride up the seam. Hopefully it is a sign of things to come.

The Giants opening night offense will feature Hakeem Nicks and Rueben Randle at WR and Victor Cruz in the slot, the trio the front office hopes will create all kinds of mismatches for opposing defenses.

But the Giants' offense is much more complex than the vertical passing game. They have an explosive RB in David Wilson who promises to make statues out of potential tacklers and stretch defenses even further.

With Victor Cruz?s return to Big Blue official, the Giants can easily be placed into the argument of having the best receiving corps in the NFL.

Now, Cruz would have likely been here anyway had he not signed the five-year, $43 million contract extension, but a happy Victor Cruz means a productive, salsa-dancing Victor Cruz.

I wrote earlier this offseason that the Giants need Cruz in the mix for the receiving corps to reach its full potential, and that is now the case.

There's a lot to like about Washington DB Desmond Trufant, whose draft stock has been rising of late.

The Giants have been connected to a number of different players with the 19th selection in April's NFL Draft, most of which has centered around the team's moves during free agency.

Among the names floated around have been Tyler Eifert, the tight end from Notre Dame, Alec Ogletree, the linebacker out of Georgia, and Datone Jones, the defensive lineman out of UCLA.

From Matthew Cohen SNYGiants contributor:

For the second year in a row, the Giants have signed a tight end who's value is likely beneath his true talent level. Their ability to improve tight ends under the tutelage of Mike Pope at Tight End University should once again get the team a bargain tight end.

Last year, the Martellus Bennett signing worked out quite well for both parties. The Giants got a $5 million tight end for $2.5 million. Bennett played one year with Big Blue, improved his value and signed a $20 million contact with Chicago at $5 million per year. Win, win.

The addition of TE Brandon Myers by the Giants is being received with mixed reviews. He can catch the football in traffic and in space and get some yards after the catch as well. His 79 receptions last season were fourth among TEs in the NFL and the most by a Raider TE since Todd Christensen caught 96 passes in 1986 (the most by a Giant TE is 74 by Jeremy Shockey during his All-Pro rookie season of 2002).

He comes to the Giants as less than a complete player, however. The caveat emptor with Myers is that he is a poor run blocker.

Our man Jimmy Kempski turned over the rock on Myers this morning, dispelling the notion that Myers' run blocking is not as bad as the statistics show......but still needs work:
