In the Dallas Morning News, Mike Heika writes that it's doubtful that the Dallas Stars will shop Brenden Morrow but they will have to entertain the idea of trading him if teams call about him.

Morrow has a full-no trade clause but Heika writes "He might be ready for a fresh start, and the guess is that a team pursuing him could have realistic designs on a very long playoff run in 2012-13. That could be very appealing to a guy who has missed the playoffs the past four seasons."

Morrow was teammates with Brad Richards in Dallas.

Spector writes, "He's 33, and has played the game like a warrior every night for a dozen seasons. Like a Jarome Iginla, there are a ton of hard miles on that chassis, but like Iggy, that's also what makes Morrow so valuable."

Spector thinks that Morrow still has some game left but that on a real cup contender, he is a third liner and not the second liner he may think he is.
