After C.J. Watson?s one-point performance in Monday?s win over the Pacers, he was bound to have a better game Wednesday night against the Nuggets.

Watson not only had a better game, but he also turned in his best performance of the year with a season-high 25 points and six assists.

On Monday night, the Nets defeated the Indiana Pacers by a final score of 89-84 in overtime.

The Skinny: Brook Lopez scored 10 of the Nets? first 13 points, as Brooklyn set up quick offensive sets to combat the Pacers? No. 2 ranked defense. Indiana?s defense improved slightly, but the team?s shooting was way off in the opening frame (6-of-25 from the field). The Nets led by seven after one.

Jeff Pendergraph?s outside shooting led to 10 points, which helped the Pacers tie the game halfway through the second quarter as part of a 15-5 run. Brooklyn native Lance Stephenson gave Indiana the lead later in the quarter. George Hill hit a buzzer-beating three-pointer to give the Pacers a five-point lead at the break.

NEW YORK ? The Brooklyn Nets got off to the best start in franchise history in November, opening the season 11-4. A major reason for the success was the Nets bench. ?The "Bench Mob" put up great numbers, allowed Avery Johnson to give his starters sufficient rest, and often extended leads.

But after losing four straight games, it's obvious how much the Nets have missed Brook Lopez. And an understated reason for the recent losing has been the recent inefficiency of the bench.

There?s a chance Gerald Wallace will return to the Nets? lineup Tuesday night when the Nets play host to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but in his absence, the Nets have managed better than expected.

Any team?s defense will take a hit losing a defender like Wallace, but the Nets have not let that loss cripple them. Brooklyn has won two straight against the Magic after tough losses to the Timberwolves and Heat.
