UConn's basketball practice facility was hit with a stop work order over the weekend for two sub-contractors by the Connecticut Department of Labor, but the construction of the facility continues the university said on Tuesday. ?

According to the university, UConn received word from its general contractor Daniel O'Connell and Sons that the Department of Labor visited the site and issued stop-work orders for two companies that were subcontracted to perform specific and limited work on the site. The two sub-contractors issued "stop work" were Intex of Glastonbury and the subcontractor it brought in in J&V Construction. Those two contractors were brought in to catch up on work involving taping of sheet rock together according to the school.
