This game could be one of those hidden land mines like last week's whitewashing at the hands of the Eagles. No one saw it coming. Everyone to a man felt the Giants would either win the game or put up a lot of points in a close loss. This week, the Cowboys are flying high and appear to be unbeatable. The Giants and Cowboys are set to face off in their second showdown of the season on Sunday.

For the G-Men, it's a chance to get revenge for Jerry Jones' comments following his Cowboys' win in the season opener and extend their lead in the NFC East. A win would situate Big Blue at 6-2 and potentially three games better than the runner-up.

For the Boys, it's an opportunity to sweep the series against New York for the first time since 2007 and make ground on the division-leading Giants. Both Dallas and Philadelphia are sitting at 3-3, with the Eagles facing a tough one vs. Atlanta.

Manning lost his first six career starts in 2004, but on the final week of the season, he led the Giants to a 28-24 home win over the Dallas Cowboys for his first career victory.

Maybe that win gave Eli a confidence boost, because he?s played historically well against the Cowboys in his career.

All Giants' fans remember Big Blue's 33-31 win over Dallas last season. It was the first regular season game at the Cowboys' brand new home, and the Giants left Big D with a memorable win.

As it turns out, that wasn't the only disappointment for the Cowboys on that Sunday night. Eli Manning reportedly signed his name on the locker room wall, and?that has not been forgotten in Dallas. Ralph Vacchiano has the story today in the Daily News:

Apparently they haven't quite gotten over that down in Dallas, and Manning was quizzed about the signature moment on his conference call with the Texas media Wednesday.
