The Devils acquired F Pat Maroon from the Oilers for a third-round pick with the year to be determined, per SportsNet's Mike Johnston.
Maroon, 29, began his career with the Ducks back in 2011, where he spent four seasons. He made his way to Edmonton in 2015, and after a quick stint back in Anaheim that season, he returned to the Oilers in 2016 for a full season. Maroon totaled 42 points (27 goals, 15 assists) in 81 games.
The left-winger has 30 points (14 goals, 16 assists) in 57 games this season. He has been a healthy scratch for the Oilers in the past couple games.
The Devils look to be gearing up for a playoff run, as Maroon adds to them buying assets like Michael Grabner from the Rangers last week.
