The Devils have activated Taylor Hall from the IR, while Reid Boucher has been placed on waivers, the team announced Thursday evening.
Hall suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee on Nov. 12, and had surgery to repair the injury two days later. While it was estimated he would be out for three-to-four weeks, Hall will return only 17 days after he underwent surgery. The Devils went 2-4-2 during Hall's absence.
In 14 games this season, Hall has five goals and seven assists.
The Devils drafted Boucher with the 99th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year old recorded two assists in nine games for New Jersey this season.
