The Devils go to Philadelphia to play the Flyers at 7 p.m. on Saturday night.
According to STATS:
- The Flyers were shellacked, 5-0, by the Capitals at Verizon Center last Sunday, dropping to 2-7-2 in their last 11 games overall. Philadelphia has allowed five or more goals 10 times in 2016-17 -- tied for second most in the NHL (Colorado -- 11).
- New Jersey shut out Philadelphia, 4-0, in these clubs' first meeting of the season on December 22 at Prudential Center, improving to 8-2-2 in its last 12 games against the Flyers overall. Including three game misconducts and two fights, the Devils and Flyers combined for 82 penalty minutes in their first match of 2016-17.
- The Devils have scored at least one power-play goal in eight straight games against the Flyers -- tied for the third-longest active streak by any team against any opponent.
- New Jersey, which played Montreal on Friday night, is 5-2-3 in the second of back-to-back games this season. Philadelphia is 4-5-2 when getting two or more days off between tilts in 2016-17.
