Jets' GM John Idzik said that Dimitri Patterson is "suspended indefinitely."

"[Patterson] will be suspended indefinitely, and that will allow us to gather more information to what led to his behavior," Idzik said.

Idzik expects the suspension to be brief, he said.

For those who saw last night's documentary "The Dotted Line" by Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) on ESPN about sports agents, you can't be feeling warm and fuzzy about Giants' rookie LB Jacquian Williams today.

Williams was one of the players featured in the doc, being sold hard to NFL teams by his fledgling agent Eugene Lee. Lee worked his tail off for Williams, making sure his name stayed on the forefront of NFL GM's minds as this year's draft barreled on. Williams was finally picked by the Giants in the sixth round.

Shortly after, Jacquian upgraded his representation to ProStar Sports, leaving Lee with little to show for his efforts.

Since the Giants rallied late in 2007 and went on their championship run, they haven't been able to close out a season successfully.? Adversity seems to get the better of them.

In 2008, they imploded after Plaxico Burress shot himself and meekly bowed out of the playoffs in the first round vs Philadelphia .? They haven't been back to the playoffs since.

Perhaps they could take lessons from this year's gritty Packers team who overcame massive key injuries to become NFL champions.

from Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN New York......
I think the Giants will look hard into that. They know what kind of player he is. Obviously he knows our system. It hasn?t changed, he would be able to adjust quickly.?

?They got to make sure that he?s kind of changed his life and he is committed to the Giants? And playing these last years of (his career)? how long his body will handle it? he is in his mid 30?s almost. But if that is what the Giants feel, I know what kind of player he can be.?

?We already have a great corps of receivers at this point right now,?To throw him into the mix could make us stronger and could be a good thing. If they feel he can help us out and he is committed then I am all for it.?

Plaxico Burress' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, is claiming his client will be on an NFL roster this coming season.

Rosenhaus appeared on Showtime's Inside the NFL yesterday, telling both Cris Collinsworth and Phil Simms he believed Burress would be on an NFL roster come the 2011 season.

"I am not afraid to make the following prediction - Plaxico Burress will be playing in 2011. And he will play very well. And it will be a very happy ending to a very tough, tough story for him." (Michael McCarthy USA Today)
Both Simms and Collinsworth agreed that Burress could play this year, but has some reservations.? Collinsworth brought up the rust issue, airing concerns of whether Burress would be able to re-acclimate to the NFL after missing nearly three years.
