Giants-Broncos

The Denver Broncos were crisper, sharper, faster and more aggressive than the Giants at MetLife this afternoon, breaking open a close game in the fourth quarter by capitalizing on a freak INT and following it up with a punt return for a TD.

The score went from 17-16 with 0:25 left in the third quarter to 38-17 in a matter of five minutes. The final was Denver 41, Giants 23.

It wasn't so much the case of too much Peyton Manning (30/43, 307 yards, 2 TD) or not enough Eli Manning (28/49, 362 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT). The Giants just seemed a step too slow for the Broncos on both sides of the ball.

Didn't get enough fireworks this summer? Don't fret. The Giants-Broncos game will polish off your appetite until next year.

Both Manning Brothers are coming off huge passing performances - it will be the first game in NFL history to feature opposing players who passed for at least 400 yards in the previous week.

Peyton threw for 462 yards and tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes last week vs Baltimore. He joined Pro Football Hall of Famer Y.A. Tittle (October 28, 1962) as the only quarterbacks with seven passing touchdowns and no interceptions in a game.

CB Prince Amukamara (concussion), LB Dan Connor (neck), T David Diehl (thumb) and TE Adrien Robinson (foot) all sat out Wednesday's practice.

Tom Coughlin said Prince felt 'better' yesterday but gave no indication if his star CB will play this week. Connor is still day-to-day and the other two will be out for the foreseeable future.

This Sunday, the Manning Brothers will face off for third time as professionals. In the two previous meetings, as QB of the Indianapolis Colts, Peyton defeated Eli and the Giants, 26-21, in New York and again in 2006: 38-14 in Indianapolis in 2010.

This will be the first game in NFL history to feature opposing players who passed for at least 400 yards in the previous week.

McDaniels' Vulgar Pep Talk Is Accidentally Aired

Not sure if the NFL Network was aware that Denver head coach Josh McDaniels was capable of such vulgarity.? Either way, they couldn't be blamed for accidentally airing a profane stream delivered by McDaniels to his team on the sidelines last night.

"All we're trying to do is win a ****** ******* game!" McDaniels was heard barking at his team. It was loud and clear and probably a moment which McDaniels wants back.? Bob Papa, the NFL Network apologized almost immediately to the viewing audience.

Giants Play Like Turkeys: Get Gobbled Up in Denver, 26-6

"Little Blue" Outplayed, Outcoached and Flat-out Embarrassed..........

Where would you like me to start....?

On offense, where Eli Manning looked like a rookie running a new offense with garbage protection and no help from his receivers or the running game...?

First of all, on behalf of my colleagues here at GFB, I would like to extend a hearty and healthy Thanksgiving to all.....

The Giants (6-4) travel to Denver to take on the 6-4 Broncos tonight. The Giants are playing on Thanksgiving for only the third time since 1938.

In 1982, the Giants defeated the Detroit Lions in the Silverdome, 13-7, on a Lawrence Taylor 97-yard interception return for a TD.? In 1992, they were doused in Dallas, 30-3, by Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and the powerful Cowboys.

Giants Catching Another Team On the Decline...?

Last week, the Falcons hobbled into the Meadowlands and almost left New Jersey as improbable winners.

This week, the Giants are back where they play best - on the road.? They will be a mile-high come Thanksgiving night, facing off against the fading Broncos at Invesco Field in Denver.
