Now Commenting On:

The Giants were one of 30 teams in attendance at QB Johnny Manziel's pro day today down at Texas A&M University. Only the Browns and the Bears were absent. (Breer)

No, the Giants do not have any interest in taking Manziel with their top pick.  At No. 12, they won't get the chance, anyway. A focused Manziel blew away the crowd by coming out in a helmet, shoulder pads and camouflage shorts and proceeded to display to the world that he's ready for the next level by nailing nearly every throw.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported Manziel took every snap from under center and completed 61 of 64 chances. He was off-target only once. (READ)

The Giants are more interested in Manziel's top target, 6'5", 230lb WR Mike Evans, the who also helped himself greatly today. Evans is currently rated the No. 2 wideout in the draft behind Clemson's Sammy Watkins.

Evans took advantage of his opportunity, raising eyebrows from several draft gurus such as former Cowboys' executive Gil Brandt who tweeted that Evans has the best hands he's seen since Calvin Johnson.

Peter Schrager of FOX Sports tweeted: "Already got one text from a scout on site... "Umm, Mike Evans. Wow." ... Did the TAMU wideout upstage Johnny today?"

Scores of other experts praised Evans as well (READ). The Giants might be too far down in the order to take Evans after his showing today. When the session was over many felt Evans will not get out of the top 10 come draft day.
