Beason's year has been hampered with injuries since training camp. In June, he tore ligaments in his foot causing him to miss preseason activities. He was able to return for the season opener but aggravated the injury in week 2 and hasn't played since.
In attempt to play this week and going forward, Beason plans on wearing a special shoe for protection.
"We have a secret weapon," Beason said on Friday. "I can't tell you what it is. It is a special shoe. It is like the glass slipper. I feel confident in where we are in terms of what I am going to wear for a game, whether it is turf or grass, and I should be able to go out and get the job done."
Tom Coughlin would not confirm his status for Sunday's game.
