Despite his most recent, season-ending injury, Giants WR Brandon Marshall has no plans on retiring after the season.
Marshall received ankle stabilization surgery to repair torn ligaments in his right ankle, which he injured against the Chargers last Sunday. The 33-year-old is not ready to give the game up.
"I'm a competitor, and I don't want to go out like that," Marshall told ESPN's Adam Schefter. "I'm definitely not going out like that."
Marshall will enter his 13th NFL season next year, and though many believe he has a promising TV career ahead of him, he is only focused on his current line of work.
"That's my mindset right now," Marshall said about his current situation.
Marshall signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Giants this offseason, and noted that he will retire after the deal expires.
