According to Jordan Raanan of the Star-Ledger, Nicks' chances of wearing Giant Blue in 2014 in 2014 are "close to zero"...
Nicks, 26, is coming off perhaps the worst season of his career. He didn’t record a touchdown catch and didn’t play in the Giants’ biggest game of the season against the Dallas Cowboys.
Put it all together and the chances of Nicks returning to the Giants next season are “close to zero,” according to a person with knowledge of the situation. That would leave the Giants with Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle and Jerrel Jernigan as the only proven wide receivers currently on the roster for next season.
Nothing really new here. It's no secret Nicks has been sending the Giants signals that he's going to test the market. That market may not be as kind to Nicks as he thinks. Big ticket, free agent WRs have fallen on their faces in recent years and Nicks' production has not exactly opened many eyes the past two seasons. He may get snubbed.
The Carolina Panthers were seen as a destination for Nicks may no longer have the appetite for his services as per SNYGiants insider Ralph Vacchiano. (Read)
