When it comes to charity, few NFL players outhustle Giants' defensive captain Justin Tuck. Yesterday, Tuck was in NYC at an event for Subway to promote their new avocado season sandwich. Although, Tuck is a paid spokesman for the sandwich chain, this event to benefit charity:
Tuck, who spent the off-season eating avocado religiously, lead a team of 250 to set the record for “Most People Making Sandwiches Simultaneously.” The historic feat involved more than 190 lbs of avocado – the SUBWAY® sandwiches were immediately donated to City Harvest. He is perhaps one of the more unselfish players you'll ever meet. He understands the team is in a crunch at DT right now, and wouldn't hesitate to take some snaps there if needed....
“We’ll see. Obviously, I did both and I’ve had success doing both,” Tuck told the Post at the event. “Wherever the team needs me to help us being successful, that’s what I’m willing to do.....Injuries happen and hopefully we can avoid them,” Tuck said. “For the guys that are kind of banged up right now, hopefully we can get some of those guys back healthy.”
