Giants S Landon Collins was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after an outstanding performance against the Chiefs on Sunday.
Collins notched a career-high with 14 tackles while intercepting his second pass of the season. His interception came on a trick play where Chiefs TE Travis Kelce threw the ball downfield. Collins snuffed it out, and came away with a big pick just as the Chiefs were gaining some momentum.
Collins has received this award three times now in the last two seasons. Last season, he won the honor in back-to-back games during his run to become the runner-up Defensive Player of the Year. He made the Pro Bowl last season as well.
In 10 games this season, Collins has 71 tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and five passes defended.
