11:30am: After experiencing groin tightness on Tuesday, Cruz is sitting out again on Wednesday, and is now likely to miss Friday's preseason opener.
Robinson is also sitting out again, while DE Kerry Wynn is working on the side.
Berthe, Collins, Pierre-Paul, and Whitlock all returned to practice Wednesday.
August 9: Giants WR Victor Cruz sat out today's practice with what Ben McAdoo called a "tight groin," the head coach told reporters on Tuesday.
McAdoo went on to say it's too early to tell if the wide receiver will play in Friday's preseason opener against Miami, but Cruz admitted it is unlikely he suits up against the Dolphins.
"It's just a little tightness. I didn't want to push it and make it worse," Cruz said. "I'm not frustrated. I just have to listen to my body and go about this the right way."
S Nat Berthe (hamstring) and LB Keenan Robinson (groin) also did not practice for the Giants today, although Berthe did participate in individual drills.
FB Nikita Whitlock left practice due to an "illness," while S Landon Collins (lower leg) and DE Jason Pierre-Paul (stinger) both suffered minor injuries but returned to practice.
