Giants GM Dave Gettleman has recently sounded like someone who's itching to take a quarterback with the No. 6 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. On Tuesday, a Giants contingent attended the Pro Day for Ohio State QB Dwayne Haskins.

After Haskins' Pro Day, head coach Pat Shurmur, OC Mike Shula, SVP of player personnel Chris Mara, scout Chris Pettit, and assistant GM Kevin Abrams had dinner with him, according to the NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

According to SNY's Ralph Vacchiano, Shurmur was present at the Pro Days for every top quarterback in last year's NFL Draft and the Giants have been expected to do the same this year. Last week, they were in Oklahoma for QB Kyler Murray's pro day and should also be present at Drew Lock's showcase at Missouri on Friday.

After his late entry into the Draft, Murray has been heavily connected to the Cardinals, who many believe will take him with the No. 1 overall pick while entertaining trade offers for Josh Rosen

If the Giants go with a QB with the No. 6 pick, the highest probability is that it will be Haskins. And Lock should also be there. If they wait until their next first round pick -- No. 17 -- there's a strong chance that both Haskins and Lock will be off the board.

Haskins had a huge season in 2018 for Ohio State, throwing for 4,831 yards with 50 touchdowns and just eight interceptions.
